Works for 2013 Chevy Volt!

A small piece of plastic broke off inside the original charger for my 2013 Chevy Volt. This not only prevented charging, but also led to a warning code that the charging system required maintenance! The Chevy dealer (in TX) recommended a $1200 replacement! However, this cord does the same thing for 1/3 of that price! A warning, though: the dealer insisted it was incompatible with my model, which was false. And the code must be cleared by the dealer before the charger can function.

The charger performs as well as the Chevy charger I had and, of course, is much cheaper. Downsides are few and minor compared to the cost savings. It does not have the built-in flashlight the Chevy charger has and there is no
wraparound storage for the cord. The cord is black, not orange, something I prefer as my usage exposes the cord to neighbor's views and black hides the cord better. I have not tried to fit this charger in the Volt storage spot for the original charger but I guess that it will fit. Overall, I would buy this again and I recommend it to those for whom the minor differences are unimportant.
